A recent review of Ritchie's Monster Beach on Amazon said: "Written in the style of an eastern myth or fable, a group of travellers land on Monster Beach which they must cross to complete their quest. Horrific creatures erupt from below to stop them but they against all odds they make their way across. They survive...or do they?" and the book was given a rating of 3 / 5 - well done!

A nice 3/5 star review for Tim's entry into the Short Sharp Shocks! series reads: "Weird. Disturbing. Chilling." - Well done Mr Dry!
A nice four star review on Amazon for Dean's Dirty Paws saying: 'A well-paced, no holds barred, opening story in the new Short Sharp Shocks! series. A volatile relationship, an unintended death and a monstrous creature set against a Parisian backdrop feature in this homage to Poe. What more could you want?" - Well done Dean!
Congratulations to all our authors Books 0 - 5, all of whom have broken into the top 50 Best Sellers (paid stories) on Amazon. It seems we are onto something here. Well done!
A massive thank you also to Adrian Baldwin for the covers / branding. Have a happy day everybody! We have some amazing women writers here at Demain. In the Short Sharp Shocks! series alone we have books already out by Barbie Wilde and Stephanie Ellis with upcoming titles by Liz Tuckwell and Leah Crowley and a new novella in the near future by Raven Dane.
If you are interested in joining us - please send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you. If you get the chance - check out Barbie's brilliant interview (with Doug Bradley!) on Nasty Neal's excellent 'Without Your Head' podcast (7th March 2019) - we even get a shout out when Barbie talks about 'Patient k'. A very enjoyable couple of hours and if you haven't yet checked out Barbie's 'The Venus Complex' - why not?!
Congratulations to Stephanie who broke the top fifty 'Best Sellers - Paid Short Stories' on Amazon - well done and long may it continue!!!!
Just a little reminder about our WW1 / Horror anthology "The Darkest Battlefield" currently available as an ebook (paperback will be launched later in the year) with an introduction by Adrian Chamberlin, new poetry by John Gilbert and stories by Richard Farren Barber, Paul Edwards, Terry Grimwood and Anthony Watson. The cover is by Adrian Baldwin.
This anthology had its first beginnings in a book Dean put together in 2014 for The Alchemy Press entitled "Kneeling In The Silver Light" (which is currently available in both paperback and electronically) to mark the beginning of the 100 years since the outbreak of WW1. This was followed in 2016 as Dean (as well as Adrian (Chamberlin) Richard, Paul, Anthony and Mark West) contributed to an anthology compiled / edited by Adrian Chamberlain called "Darker Battlefields" for Terry Grimwood's Exaggerated Press. "The Darkest Battlefield" was published late 2018 (marking 100 years since the end of the Great War) by Demain. Please - check them out. They are well worth your time or a couple of bucks of your hard earned cash. Many thanks (and enjoy!) Congratulations to Stephanie who is quickly raking up the five star reviews on both Amazon and Goodreads with one reviewer stating: "this ebook standalone by dark fiction writer Stephanie Ellis delivers...[it] is part of a new series of ebooks from Demain Publishing. Priced at just 99p they are an excellent way of sourcing new authors or in my case, enjoying more of the work of an author I've read several times already."
Congratulations to Barbie Wilde, Martin Richmond and Dean M. Drinkel - all of whom broke the top fifty "Best Sellers Short Stories" on Amazon only a day or so after publication with Dean reaching Number 12. We're sure this is just the beginning for all our writers. Well done all!!!!!
